Signal (“Signal,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates an AI receptionist service that answers calls to a business’s phone line, qualifies callers, and books appointments, transfers calls, or captures leads on the business’s behalf. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to signal.elpanteón.com and the Signal dashboard and APIs.

Who this policy is for

Signal serves two kinds of people: the business owners and operators who subscribe to Signal and configure an agent, and the callers who phone a business that uses Signal. We act as the service provider to the business; the business is responsible for its own relationship with, and disclosures to, its callers.

Information we collect

Account & business information. When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, business name, phone number, and the rules you set for your agent (service area, hours, qualifying questions, booking preferences).

Call information. When a caller reaches a line connected to Signal, we process the call audio and create a recording, transcript, and call log, along with the caller’s phone number, call time and duration, and the outcome (booked, transferred, lead captured, or declined). This lets the agent do its job and gives you a record of every call.

Calendar information. If you connect a calendar, we access availability and appointment details needed to offer times and create bookings. For Google calendars this is governed by the Google user data section below.

Notification settings. The email addresses and messaging identifiers (such as a Telegram chat) you add to receive outcome notifications.

Technical & usage data. Standard server logs, device and browser information, and cookies strictly necessary to keep you signed in and to operate the dashboard.

How we use information

We use the information above to:

  • answer, qualify, and act on calls according to the rules you configure;
  • create and show your recordings, transcripts, and call logs;
  • check availability and create or manage appointments on a connected calendar;
  • send the outcome notifications you ask for, and confirmation messages to callers;
  • operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service;
  • handle billing and account administration; and
  • comply with legal obligations.

Google user data

When you connect a Google account, Signal requests only the calendar permissions it needs to book appointments on your behalf:

  • See and download your calendars (calendar.readonly) — to read your availability and free/busy times so the agent can offer real open slots.
  • View and edit events on your calendars (calendar.events) — to create, update, and cancel the appointment events that come from your calls.

We access this data only to provide these user-facing booking features. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not allow humans to read it except with your consent, for security or to comply with the law, or where required to operate the service (for example, debugging with your permission). You can disconnect Google at any time — see Disconnecting Google & deleting data.

Signal’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

How we share information

We do not sell your information. We share it only with service providers that help us run Signal, and only as needed to deliver the service:

  • Voice & telephony — providers that power the phone line, voice agent, and SMS confirmations.
  • Calendar — Google, to read availability and write the appointments you authorize.
  • Notifications — our email sender and, if you enable it, the messaging platform you connect for outcome alerts.
  • Hosting & infrastructure — the servers and database that store your account and call records.

We may also disclose information to comply with the law, enforce our terms, or protect the rights and safety of users and the public, and we may transfer information as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

Data retention

We keep account and call records for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, then for a reasonable period to meet legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution needs. You can ask us to delete specific recordings or your account at any time (see below).

Security

Access to the service is protected by authentication, and connections are encrypted in transit. Calendar refresh tokens and other credentials are stored server-side and used only to provide the features you enabled. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and limit access to it.

Your choices & rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at signal@elpanteón.com. We will respond as required by applicable law. You can also update much of your information directly in the dashboard.

Disconnecting Google & deleting data

You can revoke Signal’s access to your Google data at any time from your Google Account permissionspage, or by disconnecting the calendar in Signal’s settings. Revoking access stops future calendar reads and writes; existing appointments already on your calendar are not removed automatically. To request deletion of data Signal holds, email signal@elpanteón.com.

International users

Signal may process and store information in countries other than the one in which you live. Where we transfer information across borders, we take steps to protect it consistent with this policy and applicable law.

Children’s privacy

Signal is a business tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of Signal after a change means you accept the updated policy.
