Terms of Service
Last updated June 30, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Signal (“Signal,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), the AI receptionist service available at signal.elpanteón.com. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Signal.
The service
Signal answers calls to a phone line you connect, speaks with callers using the rules you configure, and then books an appointment, transfers the call, or captures the lead — and records, transcribes, and logs each call. Features and supported integrations may change over time as we improve the service.
Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract to use Signal. You are responsible for the information you provide, for the activity under your account, and for keeping your login credentials secure. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
Your responsibilities
You agree to use Signal lawfully and to not:
- use the service for fraud, harassment, spam, or any unlawful purpose;
- misrepresent who you are or who the agent represents to callers in a deceptive way;
- upload rules or content that are illegal, infringing, or harmful; or
- attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service.
You are responsible for ensuring your use of Signal complies with the laws that apply to your business, including telemarketing, consumer-protection, and recording laws.
Call recording & caller consent
Signal records and transcribes calls so you have a record of each conversation. You are responsible for providing any notice and obtaining any consent that the law in your and your callers’ locations requires for call recording. Some jurisdictions require all parties to consent. You agree to configure and use Signal in a way that meets these obligations.
Not for emergencies
Signal is not an emergency service and must not be used to handle emergencies. It does not connect to emergency responders. If a caller has an emergency, they should hang up and dial their local emergency number.
Caller data & ownership
As between you and Signal, the call records, transcripts, and lead information generated for your business are yours. You grant us the rights needed to host and process this data to provide the service. We process personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.
Third-party services
Signal relies on third-party services — for example, your calendar provider, telephony and messaging providers, and hosting infrastructure. Your use of those services through Signal may also be subject to their terms. When you connect Google, your use of Google data is also governed by Google’s terms, and Signal’s handling of it follows our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.
Billing & subscriptions
Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis, and usage above your plan’s included amounts may incur additional charges as described at sign-up or in your dashboard. Fees are charged in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We may change pricing with reasonable notice.
AI limitations & disclaimers
Signal uses automated systems and large language models. These can make mistakes, mishear, or misclassify a caller, and may be unavailable from time to time. The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You are responsible for reviewing outcomes and for decisions you make based on them.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Signal will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the service in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Signal harmless from claims, losses, and expenses arising out of your use of the service, your content and rules, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law, including any claim relating to call recording or notice in your use of the service.
Termination
You may stop using Signal and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, fail to pay, or use the service in a way that creates risk or legal exposure. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the “last updated” date above. Your continued use of Signal after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Signal operates, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The courts located there will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
